Did you see? Did you see our first episode on WE TV's Amazing Wedding Cakes last night?! Wasn't it waaaayyy better than last week's episode without us? You know it's true.
Anyhoo, Mike here. You might recognize me as the driver/husband who called Reva a camera hog. Which she totally is. I am gonna pop on here from time to time to let you know the haps behind the scenes of Merci Beaucoup and our filming of Amazing Wedding Cakes.
This week we had a beautiful four tier Garden theme wedding cake for Jason and Noelle. It was covered in fondant and at one time, destined for some serious sugar flowers. Thankfully, I have no skill at making those, cause Reva and Marc spent a lot of time making a bunch of flowers and then we didn't even use them! Don't worry about all those flowers though, we'll find a use for them soon.
Marc did an amazing (get it, "amazing"... ha ha) job on those buttercream flowers. It was fun to watch him go at it. You only got to see the quick version, but he spent a lot of time making those flowers look perfect. It looked even better in person than it did on T.V. and he had a great time with the change in plans!
The restaurant we delivered the cake to was awesome. Michelangelo's in Silver Lake. It smelled so good in there, but Reva and I haven't found the time to go back for dinner yet. Soon I hope! And how about that delivery? Did you catch one of our crew ducking out of the way as we brought the box in from the van? That was Ashley, one of our camera crew! Way to go camera hog! Sheeez, everyone is trying to take away my air time aren't they? Just kidding Ash, who, by the bye, is a great camera girl and quite a whistler. Hopefully all of our crew will pop up in the background at some point. They worked real hard to make us look good and they deserve a little credit themselves. If you ever need to be in a reality show, I've got the crew for you.
Big props to Cake Girls too for that incredible turntable cake! The details on the mixer were insane!
Thanks for watching us on Amazing Wedding Cakes and check back every Monday where I'll recap our cakes a little, maybe share a funny anecdote and a picture or two.
Beautiful work! Can't wait to see the episode after the boys go to bed. I TiVo so I can skip commercials. :)

The cake looks beautiful and I love the colors. It looks simple but still very stunning.

Beautiful and unusual. I would never have thought to use the colors and or designs for a wedding cake. I love any and all new ideas.

This is really one of the more appealing websites I've seen. It is so easy to assume you've seen it all, but
there's really still some decent material on the net, and I feel your site is on the list!
